Butea Superba<\/strong>, also known as Red Kwao Krua, is an herb traditionally used by Thais for its aphrodisiac qualities. Being rich in phytoandrogens like flavonoids and flavonoid glycosides, the herb is especially suited for and used extensively for increasing virility in males.<\/strong> The substances in Butea Superba can induce arterial dilation, especially in the penile area, because of effects similar to male hormones, thus promoting more intense and longer erections.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Butea superba may help treat erectile dysfunction, according to a number of rat studies (ED). As an example, tests on diabetic rats conducted for publication in the journal Andrologia in 2012 showed Butea superbi may improve erectile function by stimulating circulation.<\/p>\n

However, a 2003 study published in the Asian Journal of Andrology suggests that Butea superba may help treat erectile dysfunction. Three months of treatment with Butea superba extract or a placebo was given to men aged 30 to 70 with the condition. There was a significant improvement in male sexual function in 82.4 percent of subjects who were treated at study’s conclusion (note: the placebo group was lost to follow-up, so their results could not be compared).<\/p>\n
